A search for Kenneth James Gibson in the Discogs.com database will turn up eight or more different monikers. From the California dream-noise rock project of the mid 90s, The Furry Things to his minimal, dub and techno artistry as [a]pendics.shuffle, dubLoner, KJ Gibbs, Cascabel Gentz and his own namesake for starters. He's also done highly praised, cutting edge electronica as Eight Frozen Modules and Hiss & Buzz with Jack Dangers of Meat Beat Manifesto. Add to this perhaps his most ambitious venture to date, the forthcoming psychedelic-pop album with Brian McBride (of Stars of the Lid fame) as The Bell Gardens, and you see Ken is clearly a man possessed with music.

Enter Ken's latest sonic venture, Reverse Commuter. A project developed for Hallucination Limited after an enthusiastic response to the pop, tech-house and electronica wielding four-tracker called "The Direction EP"in 2003. Two more tracks --- "Southern Charge" and "New York To Me" --- were both featured on our label compilation "Hallucienda" to rave reviews, suggesting that Reverse Commuter may perhaps be on it's way to being Ken's most developed dance floor work to date. Since that time a full-length album called "Exposure" has been completed.... slated to be released in three parts this spring through summer. Perhaps best described as a cinematic take on the post-minimal house and techno sound, it reaches further out with fresh vocal stylings and elements of left-leaning pop and electronica. Leading into the album release are remix packages for both "Southern Charge" and "New York To Me".

Southern Charge - A throbbing raw, machine-funk style of tech-house with vocals as playful as they are moody from Reverse Commuter himself. "Southern Charge" reveals a more raw, organic feel to Ken's electronic repertoire.

Butane Mix & Three's Re-Edit of Butane Mix - Butane delivers a wicked new, fresh take on his patented after hours sound with a sub-bass driven tech groove topped with a melodic keyboard lead that finally culminates to a cosmic, melodic end. Three's Re-Edit of Butane shapes things into a clubbier arrangement focusing on the uplifting melodies.

Sycophant Slags - Mr. C & Adultnapper have already graced the label with their amazing "Dharma Fields" track on the "Hallucienda" compilation. With their recent club monster "Keep Off" causing a stir, and this undeniably fresh, tech-house reworking they've delivered for "Southern Charge" it's clear the Slags are going to be the cause of major dance floor moments in 2010.

Motor (Black Mix) - Dance floor heavyweights Motor deliver a monster, floor shaking mix in their inimitable style fusing techno and electro-house elements. Sound systems beware.

Be on the look out for the full 'New York To Me' release with mixes from Radio Slave, Mark 'Blakkat' Bell in early summer.
